Much more exciting and very useful and peer reviewed and a product that actually works and isn’t snake oil:

Coral RX 8 oz

coralrx

Coral Rx was developed in 2006 for two purposes: to treat corals suffering with parasites, and as a prophylactic measure to promote healthy corals before parasites or bacterial infections become harmful. Coral Rx is tough on parasites, yet gentle on your coral (contains no iodine or oxidizers) allowing you to be proactive in protecting your investment.

Coral Rx can be purchased in three different concentration levels: Coral Rx, Coral Rx Pro and Coral Rx Industrial. Coral Rx (8oz) is ideal for retail store sales, and produces approximately 12 gallons of coral dip. Coral Rx Pro (1oz & 4oz) is ideal for online orders to reduce shipping cost, and produces approximately 17 gallons and 66 gallons respectively. Coral Rx Industrial (8oz & 16 oz) is ideal for organizations caring for a large quantity of corals, and produces approximately 295 gallons and 590 gallons respectively.

Independently Tested

Coral Rx was independently tested by Andrew Lynford, M.S. in Biology from Hofstra University. This investigation attempted to quantify the efficacy of three chemical flatworm controls: Flatworm Exit, Coral Rx, and Povidone. His research is available in a featured article published in Advanced Aquarist, April 2009. Below are excerpts of his findings:.

  • Coral Rx was the most effective treatment…
  • Coral Rx performed well as a coral dip, and it would be advantageous for coral aquaculturists, wholesalers, retailers, aquariums, and hobbyists to use this product when quarantining newly purchased corals.
  • Chemical treatments are utilized as a preventative protocol used to eradicate flatworms before they are introduced into an aquarium. These chemical treatments are referred to as a coral dips.
  • Quarantining corals and live rock with coral dips is the best way to deal with marine flatworms because it prevents their introduction, and circumvents the problems associated with convolutrilobid toxin release.
  • Harvesting coral reef taxa (species) to replace livestock lost through convolutriloba toxin release is environmentally costly, and should be prevented by using coral dips.

Usage

  • Coral Rx can be used in treating many types of live corals; soft, LPS and SPS. Coral Rx should be used in treating corals that have parasites or other bacterial infections. Additionally, it should be used as a prophylactic treatment before bringing live coral into your aquarium.
  • Coral Rx is effective in removing the following parasites:
    • Acropora Eating Flatworms (AEFW)
    • Montipora Eating Nudibranchs
    • Bristleworms
    • Zoanthid Eating Spiders
    • Red Flatworms
  • Also aids in the treatment of:
    • Filamentous Hair Algae
    • Rapid Tissue Necrosis (RTN)
    • Slow Tissue Necrosis (STN)
    • Bacterial Infections & More
  • Coral Rx should not be used on fish, shrimp, crabs, snails, clams or other invertebrates. Coral Rx may not be effective on Acropora Red Bugs.

Directions

  • Dosage
    • Coral Rx: 20ml or 4 capfuls
    • Shake bottle of Coral Rx. Add dosage as stated above to 1 gallon (3.8 liters) of saltwater from aquarium. Mix well. Using a small power head, keep the water moving and place coral in the coral dip. If you do not have a power head, gently shake coral in the coral dip. Keep coral in the coral dip for 5 – 10 minutes. After 5 – 10 minutes, remove coral and discard the coral dip. Do not reuse the coral dip as parasite may release toxins. Rinse coral with clean saltwater and return to aquarium. Do not add Coral Rx directly into aquarium.

Ingredients: Distilled Water, Proprietary Blend of Natural Extracts. (Coral Rx Industrial contains no distilled water)

Price Guarantee
We now guarantee our low pricing.  If you find a lower advertised price than our shipped price on a new identical in-stock product from a competitor, we will match the price. Just give us a call or send us an email.  See the full details for complete information.

New Products

We have added the following new product lines to our offering and will continue to offer new products throughout the year.  We only add product lines that we can stand behind and we have tested and would use ourselves.

Special Orders

We are more than happy to special order any product for our customers.   Even our special order pricing will not be beat.  Just call us or email us for a quote on any product.

Our Advertised Prices

Many of our manufacturers have what is known as “MAP”, or Minimum Advertisable Price.

MAP is a voluntarily agreement that all legitimate manufacturer authorized retailers enter into with their authorized USA supplier, usually the manufacturer, and in some cases, the official USA distribution arm designated by the manufacturer. According to such agreements, retailers can usually sell MAP restricted items for any price they choose, but may not display in any print or online advertising, a price below the Minimum Advertisable Price.

We adhere to MAP restrictions because our relationship with our authorized suppliers demands it. We are an honorable, honest company – we keep agreements with vendors AS WELL as our customers, because it is the right way to do business. Such adherence also guarantees our customers…YOU…get proper and prompt service from these manufacturers should you need it. Dealers that do not abide by requested pricing policies are generally cut off from such products, not to mention post sale service.

Even with these policies we are free to sell the products for whatever we choose.  We choose not to be undersold.  Feel free to call us or email us to talk price on anything we sell.

Free Shipping

In case you missed it, we now offer free shipping on orders $100 and up.  See the website for details.

Thank you for being a loyal customer!
