Use +Alk if your PH is under 8.3, +AlkHPH if your PH is over 8.3. SmartReef^TM +Alk (Sodium Carbonate) is part of the 2 part system or can be used separately.  It buffers your alkalinity and can also be used to raise PH. Alkalinity must be maintained in order to maintain calcium levels.
